Terms of service

Plain-language summary. Operated by Keelcroft.

What the service does

Check-In Line places one short automated phone call per day to an enrolled person on behalf of a home-care agency. The person can press 1 (fine), 2 (please call me), 3 (leave a voice message) or 9 (stop). Missed calls are retried and then family contacts are alerted by automated call and email.

What it does not do

Not an emergency or medical service. In an emergency, call 911. We do not monitor health, do not contact emergency services, and make no promise about when anyone will respond to an alert. Calls can fail for reasons outside our control (phone networks, wrong numbers, power cuts).

Agencies

Agencies subscribe monthly, paid in advance through our payment provider (Dodo Payments, merchant of record). Cancel anytime; the plan runs to the end of the paid month. If a subscription is not active, new enrollments stop immediately and existing calls continue for 7 days, then pause with notice to the agency and families. Agencies set and collect any price they charge families; we are not party to that arrangement. Agencies must not use the service for marketing calls or to contact anyone who has not consented.

Families

The person enrolling confirms they are the call recipient or authorised to act for them, and that listed contacts agreed to receive alerts. Anyone can stop the calls at any time: press 9 on a call, use the manage link, or ask the agency.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Keelcroft is not liable for harm arising from a call that was not placed, not answered or not acted on.
